Compare a named device and monitoring plan rather than treating every S5 system as identical. Write down the installed price, included tags, subscription term, ongoing renewal cost, alert response arrangements and any added immobilisation. Ask each supplier to confirm compatibility for your exact vehicle and fitting coverage.
Use the same ownership period for both quotes. Our standard S5 costs £349 fitted plus £131.88 for twelve months of monitoring, totalling £480.88 before optional extras. For another supplier, add its quoted installation and monitoring costs over those same twelve months. A multi-year prepaid offer should be compared over its full term.
Driver recognition and start protection are different
Standard S5 Automatic Driver Recognition identifies movement without an authorised tag and supports unauthorised-use alerts. It does not itself prevent starting. Our standard S5 Plus adds tag-operated No Tag, No Start protection; the dedicated EV/hybrid package uses a PIN entered through supported vehicle buttons. Compatibility must be confirmed.
S5 Plus is a package description, not a separate Thatcham certification category. If your insurer names a device or asks for tracking with immobilisation, get confirmation for the exact system and installation arrangement before paying.

Configure the tracker, monitoring and any extra fobs, then provide vehicle and fitting details. We confirm compatibility and the appointment.
